Résumé : Abstract Background The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic led to a worldwide suspension of bariatric and metabolic surgery (BMS) services. The current study analyses data on patterns of service delivery, recovery of practices, and protective measures taken during the COVID-19 pandemic by bariatric teams. Materials and Methods The current study is a subset analysis of the GENEVA study which was an international cohort study between 01/05/2020 and 31/10/2020. Data were specifically analysed regarding the timing of BMS suspension, patterns of service recovery, and precautionary measures deployed. Results A total of 527 surgeons from 439 hospitals in 64 countries submitted data regarding their practices and handling of the pandemic. Smaller hospitals (with less than 200 beds) were able to restart BMS programmes more rapidly (time to BMS restart 60.8 ± 38.9 days) than larger institutions (over 2000 beds) (81.3 ± 30.5 days) ( p = 0.032). There was a significant difference in the time interval between cessation/reduction and restart of bariatric services between government-funded practices (97.1 ± 76.2 days), combination practices (84.4 ± 47.9 days), and private practices (58.5 ± 38.3 days) ( p < 0.001). Precautionary measures adopted included patient segregation, utilisation of personal protective equipment, and preoperative testing. Following service recovery, 40% of the surgeons operated with a reduced capacity. Twenty-two percent gave priority to long waiters, 15.4% gave priority to uncontrolled diabetics, and 7.6% prioritised patients requiring organ transplantation. Conclusion This study provides global, real-world data regarding the recovery of BMS services following the COVID-19 pandemic. Graphical abstract

Résumé : Climate Change (CC) is a major issue of our century. Controlling the constraints of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions through transformation into opportunities, in an organization to increase industrial production, has become a necessity. The main reason for this adoption was the effectiveness of energy management and responsible linkages that are being developed to determine the issues and opportunities of carbon finance for organizations. Through analysis of the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) and the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), this article presents and demonstrates a variety of determinants of CO2 prices (EUA) to be used in econometric techniques. This paper details the main carbon price drivers related to institutional decisions, energy prices and weather events. Our study focuses on price changes in the EUA, being the most liquid carbon asset. In this regard, we highlighted the daily spot price of the EUA to highlight the daily changes affecting this price, given the high volatility in this Carbon financial market. The treatments of the determinants of CO2 prices (EUA) can be used to analyze the evolving and expanding Carbon financial markets sphere. It features stylized facts about Carbon financial markets from an economics and management perspective, as well as covering key aspects of pricing strategies (institutional decisions, energy prices and extreme weather events), risk and portfolio management. Aimed at those with fundamental analysis, the CO2 prices within the framework of the EU ETS depend on several determinants. This paper constitutes an introduction to emission trading and an overview of the regulations governing Carbon financial markets. First, we detail the price changes in the EUA and primary energy prices. Second, we introduce the main characteristics of emissions trading, be it in terms of spatial and temporal limits, Clean Dark Spread, Clean Spark Spread and Switch Price. Third, we provide a descriptive analysis of atmospheric variables, structural variations and the Subprime crisis and their impacts in the price development of EU CO2 allowances.

Résumé : The aim of this study is to evaluate the level of Sustainable Finance disclosure in Institutions and to analyze the relationship between Performativity of Responsible Management and Sustainable Finance. A Performativity of Sustainable Finance through the lens of Responsible Management is constructed. To verify the link between the impact of responsible strategies and structures on the implementation and deployment of Sustainable Finance for reducing CO2 emissions at the time of Institutions, the structural relationships in our model are run. Although several studies have investigated the Sustainable finance, the issue of adoption and performance through the prism Responsible Management remains open. This allowed us to conduct empirical research through a questionnaire involving key axes of our study. We targeted primarily a sample of 40 companies ELEC EXPO International Forum in Casablanca, Morocco, held from 04th to 07th October 2018. We review the carbon finance strategies, analyze its relationship with the structure of the compliance New Economic Regulations and ISO 26 000. Subsequently, we assess the validity of its performance and its adoption prism Responsible Management through a reflexive model. To achieve this, we tested the structural relationships in our model, as the reflective nature of our built and predictive vocation of our model led us to retain the method Partial Least Squares as part of the validation of our research model. Our choice of using the Partial Least Squares approach is justified by the fact that it can treat analyzes on samples of reduced size (<100 observations). Ultimately, some of the literature says that strategies of Sustainable Finance include three dimensions. Indeed, the results indicate two important pillars for the performance of the adoption of the Sustainable Finance for the Moroccan plan; Clean Development Mechanism strategy and structure of the compliance New Economic Regulations and ISO 26 000. We then discuss the theoretical and practical implications of this managerial discovery.

Résumé : Climate Change (CC) is a major issue of our century. Controlling the constraints of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions through transformation into opportunities (Wettestad and Skjaerseth, 2007), in an organization to increase industrial production, has become a necessity. The main reason for this adoption was the effectiveness of energy management and responsible linkages that are being developed to determine the issues and opportunities of carbon finance for organizations. This article is part of the 21st Conference of the Parties 2015 (COP21) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in France in Paris. In this regard, it is the ultimate opportunity to present an accurate diagnosis of GHG emissions quantification and a holistic review of Climate Change (CC) recommendations. This scientific contribution was, in fact, a natural extension of the 22nd Conference of the Parties (COP22) hosted by the Kingdom of Morocco in Marrakech in 2016. Indeed, COP21 and COP22 Are two crucial deadlines, since they must lead to a new international agreement on climate, applicable to all countries, with the objective of keeping global warming below 2 ° C. This article aims to analyze and study the performance of Carbon Finance in the EU Sustainable Finance Business Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS). We will develop our quantitative methodology for the econometric study of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) for both phases [Phase I: 2005-2007 and Phase II: 2008-2012] (Alberola, Chevallier and Cheze, 2009). The increasing complexity of Climate Change (CC) challenges creates a systemic view of EU ETS companies and a macroeconomic framework for environmental issues. In this context, we will develop our quantitative methodology adopted for the econometric study of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) for the two phases of the EU ETS [Phase I: 2005-2007 and Phase II: 2008 -2012]. In the same direction, this scientific research addresses the thrilling question: "What are the responsible issues and sustainable and sustainable opportunities for the adoption of carbon finance for EU ETS companies for the development of a"2 °C?", In order to facilitate climate decision-making and to limit CO2 emissions. The real challenge is to contain the increasing complexity of Climate Change (CC) in a way that is compatible with the warming scenario limited to + 2 ° C. The development of the EU ETS is the reticular example of this turning point.

Résumé : Notre recherche a pour objectif d’analyser l’impact des stratégies et des structures responsables sur l’implémentation et le déploiement de la Finance Carbone en vue de la réduction des émissions CO2 dans les organisations. Bien que plusieurs recherches aient étudié la Finance Carbone, la question de son adoption et de sa performance au prisme du Management Responsable reste ouverte. Cela nous a permis de mener une recherche empirique par le truchement d’un questionnaire rassemblant les principaux axes de notre étude. Nous avons ciblé principalement un échantillon de 40 entreprises du Forum International ELEC EXPO à Casablanca, Maroc, qui s’est tenu du 15 au 18 octobre 2014. Nous réexaminons les stratégies de la Finance Carbone, analysons ses relations avec la structure de la conformité NRE (Nouvelles Régulations Économiques) et ISO 26 000. Par la suite, nous évaluons la validité de sa performance et de son adoption au prisme du Management Responsable à travers un modèle réflexif. Pour y parvenir, nous avons testé les relations structurelles de notre modèle, de même la nature réflective de nos construits et la vocation prédictive de notre modèle nous ont conduit à retenir la méthode Partial Least Squares (PLS) dans le cadre de la validation de notre modèle de recherche. Notre choix d’utiliser l’approche PLS se justifie par le fait qu’elle permet de traiter des analyses sur des échantillons à taille réduite (<100 observations). In fine, une partie de la littérature affirme que les stratégies de la Finance Carbone comprennent trois dimensions (MDP ; MOC et PEN). En effet, notre étude a relevé deux piliers très importants pour la performance de l’adoption de la Finance Carbone au plan marocain ; la stratégie MDP et la structure de la conformité NRE (Nouvelles Régulations Économiques) et ISO 26 000. Nous discutons ensuite les implications théoriques et pratiques de cette découverte managériale.
