Résumé : Cet article développe un modèle théorique d'économie urbaine qui étudie les conséquences d'effets de voisinage informationnels sur l'organisation de la ville. Il s'agit, en particulier, d'examiner l'impact de tels effets de voisinage sur le processus de ségrégation urbaine. Pour ce faire, nous développons un modèle à générations imbriquées avec choix individuel d'éducation et de localisation. Lorsqu'il est jeune, un individu décide de son effort d'éducation. L'hypothèse centrale est de dire que les jeunes évaluent les rendements de l'investissement scolaire en observant les résultats obtenus par la génération précédente du quartier. Lorsqu'il atteint l'âge adulte, un individu doit décider du lieu de résidence de la famille. A la différence des résultats obtenus dans la littérature, nous montrons que, sous certaines conditions, deux types de ville existent et sont stables. (i) Une ville intégrée peut émerger dans laquelle les quartiers sont composés d'une population hétérogène et présentent les mêmes incitations à l'éducation. (ii) Une ville ségrégée est possible qui comporte un ghetto de pauvres avec une mauvaise information sur l'intérêt de l'éducation et un taux d'éducation faible. Enfin, il n'y a pas unanimité parmi les individus pour préférer l'un des deux équilibres.

Résumé : INTRODUCTION: Cisplatin in combination with vinorelbine has reported an optimal activity/tolerance ratio when used in combination with radiotherapy in locally advanced unresectable non-small cell lung cancer. The currently available oral formulation of vinorelbine should be easier to use assuming a similar activity profile. An international phase II trial with vinorelbine oral and cisplatin as induction followed by oral vinorelbine and cisplatin with concomitant radiotherapy was implemented to evaluate the efficacy in terms of objective response (OR) following this combination as primary end point and duration or response, progression-free survival, overall survival, and safety as secondary endpoints. MATERIAL AND METHODS: The study included patients between 18 and 75 years, with histologically proven untreated locally advanced inoperable stage IIIA/IIIB (supraclavicular lymph nodes and pleural effusion excluded) non-small cell lung cancer, adequate bone marrow, hepatic and renal function, Karnofsky performance status >/=80%. Patients were treated with oral vinorelbine 60 mg/m day 1,8 cycle 1 and 80 mg/m day 1,8 cycle 2 (if no grade 3-4 toxicity) and cisplatin 80 mg/m day 1 every 3 weeks for 2 cycles as induction. Patients without progression received oral vinorelbine 40 mg/m day 1, 8 and cisplatin 80 mg/m day 1 every 3 weeks for 2 more cycles with radiotherapy 66 Gy in 6.5 weeks. RESULTS: Patient and disease characteristics (n = 54) included: median age 57 years; female sex 24%; stage IIIA 48% and IIIB 52%; Squamous carcinoma 59%, Karnofsky performance status 100% (range, 80-100%) 50%, patients >/=5% weight loss at baseline 7%. Relative dose intensities of oral vinorelbine/cisplatin were 86%/93% and 97%/98% at induction and in combination with radiotherapy, respectively. Forty-one patients (76%) increased oral vinorelbine from 60 to 80 mg/m day during induction (reasons for nonescalation: hematological 7 patients, nonhematological 2 patients, error 4 patients). After two cycles of chemotherapy induction, the OR intent-to-treat in the 54 patients was 37%. Toxicities during induction were as follows: Neutropenia G3-4 (28%), Febrile Neutropenia (7%), nausea G3 (11%), vomiting G3-4 (9%), anorexia G3 (4%), diarrhea G4 (2%), constipation G3 (2%). Forty-seven out of 54 (87%) patients received concomitant chemo-radiotherapy.Median radiotherapy delivered dose was 66 Gy. Tolerance: 9% G3 Neutropenia; 4% G3 dysphagia/radiation; 2% G3 radiation dermatitis. Late pulmonary fibrosis was reported in one patient (1.8%). One month after completion of chemo-radiotherapy, the overall OR intent-to-treat in the 54 patients was 54% (95% CI: 40-67%). With a median follow-up of 37 months (95% CI: 34-41) the median progression-free survival and overall survival were: 12.5 (95% CI: 9.6-16.4) and 23.4 (95% CI: 17.6-29.8) months, respectively. CONCLUSION: Oral vinorelbine in combination with cisplatin is an effective combination in stage IIIA/IIIB patients. The excellent tolerance profile allowed to complete concomitant chemo-radiotherapy in 87% of patients. Oral vinorelbine in combination with cisplatin is a new and promising option that facilitates the administration of concomitant chemo-radiotherapy with high rates of treatment completion.

Résumé : Surfactins are a family of heptacyclopeptides in which the C-terminal carbonyl is linked with the beta-hydroxy group of a fatty acid acylating the N-terminal function of a glutamic acid residue. The fatty acyl chain is 12-16 carbon atoms long. These compounds, which are secreted by the Gram-positive bacterium Bacillus subtilis in stationary phase in liquid cultures, play an important role in swarming communities on the surface of agar media in the formation of dendritic patterns. TOF secondary ion MS (TOF-SIMS) imaging was used to map surfactins within 16-17 h swarming patterns, with a 2 mum spatial resolution. Surfactins were mainly located in the central mother colony (the site of initial inoculation), in a 'ring' surrounding the pattern and along the edges of the dendrites. In the mother colony and the interior of the dendrites, surfactins with shorter chain lengths are present, whereas in the ring surrounding the swarm community and between dendrites, surfactins with longer fatty acyl chain lengths were found. A quantitative analysis by MALDI-TOF MS showed a concentration gradient of surfactin from the mother colony to the periphery. The concentration of surfactin was approximately 400 pmol/mL in the mother colony and approximately 10 pmol/mL at the base of the dendrites, decreasing to 2 pmol/mL at their tips.

Résumé : The design of a 2GHz reference frequency oscillator in a 65nm CMOS process using a Bulk Acoustic Wave resonator is presented. The oscillator implements digital frequency control using a switched capacitor bank in parallel to the resonator. The tuning range is up to 4MHz with a minimum step of 1.6kHz. The oscillator core is designed to reach low phase noise (-128dBc/Hz at 100kHz offset) at low power consumption (0.9mW) using a differential topology. It is followed by a low noise divider for output at 500MHz with a phase noise of -140dBc/Hz at 100kHz offset.

Résumé : Cette communication présente un projet de recherche récemment soumis et validé par le Conseil Scientifique du troisième programme français PSDR 3 « Pour et Sur le Développement Régional ». Consacré à l'analyse des dynamiques territoriales et au rôle qu’y jouent les activités économiques et les espaces ruraux, une des originalités de ce programme est d'être conçu et construit au coeur des régions françaises concernées, en lien direct avec les préoccupations des acteurs et avec un co-financement égal entre les Régions et les organismes de recherche. D’une durée de 3 ans (2008-2011), le projet baptisé « Intersama » rassemble 13 chercheurs et enseignants-chercheurs de divers organismes et 6 institutions professionnelles partenaires.

Résumé : For the last five years or so, several 3D data hiding algorithms have been developed. Few of them proposed methods to hide data in 3D objects without changing the position of vertices in the 3D space. In this paper we propose a new approach of data hiding in 3D objects based on the minimum spanning tree (MST). This method is lossless in the sense that the positions of the vertices are unchanged. The method is blind and does not depend on the ordering of the data in the files. Moreover the embedding capacity is significant and can be as high as $2.5 \%$ of the size of the 3D object.
