Résumé : This paper describes the application of delexicalized cross-lingual parsing on Occitan with a view to building the first dependency treebank of this language. Occitan is a Romance language spoken in the south of France and in parts of Italy and Spain. It is a relatively low-resourced language and does not have a syntactically annotated corpus as of yet. In order to facilitate the manual annotation process, we train parsing models on the existing Romance corpora from the Universal Dependencies project and apply them to Occitan. Special attention is given to the effect of this cross-lingual annotation on the work of human annotators in terms of annotation speed and ease.

Résumé : The microscopic densification mechanisms of metallic systems (TiAl, Ag-Zn) by spark plasma sintering (SPS) have been studied by simulations and experiments. Finite element simulations showed that, despite very high current densities at the necks between metallic powder particles (≈ 5×10 4 A/cm 2), only very limited Joule overheating can be expected at these locations (< 1°C), because of very fast heat diffusion. The microscopic plasticity mechanisms under these high electric currents have been studied by transmission electron microscopy. For this purpose, thin foils have been extracted by focused ion beam at the necks between TiAl powder particles. This is the first time, to our knowledge, that microscopic plasticity mechanisms at the necks between powder particles are investigated by TEM during densification of a metallic powder. Dislocation glide and climb mechanisms were identified, followed by recovery and recrystallization. The elementary mechanism kinetically controlling these phenomena was proposed to be bulk diffusion of Al, which activation energy (360 kJ/mol) is close to the activation energy measured for densification (308 ± 20 kJ/mol). Comparisons of densification kinetics by SPS (≈ 60-110 A/cm 2) and by hot pressing (0 A/cm 2) showed no influence of current on these mechanisms. Finally, reaction experiments in the Ag-Zn system did not show any influence of very high currents (> 1000 A/cm 2) on diffusion kinetics. Consequently, densification by SPS occurs by classical mechanisms not affected by the current.

Résumé : This paper presents experimental results on low cycle fatigue(LCF) behaviour at high temperatures of the IRIS alloy(Ti-Al48-W2-B0.08,at. %) densified by Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS). Cyclic stability isnoticed, whatever the temperature and the total strain amplitude. Fracture occurs by mixed interlamellar and translamellar modes. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) observations reveal that deformation is mainly due to ordinary dislocations and twins, and slip and cross-slip mechanisms have been clearly evidenced, without significant contribution of climb at 800°C. It hasalsobeen established that dislocation density depends on fatigue life time rather than on stress amplitude.

Résumé : This article describes the creation of corpora with part-of-speech annotations for three regional languages of France: Alsatian, Occitan and Picard. These manual annotations were performed in the context of the RESTAURE project, whose goal is to develop resources and tools for these under-resourced French regional languages. The article presents the tagsets used in the annotation process as well as the resulting annotated corpora.

Résumé : This paper presents a study by Transmission Electron Miscroscopy of the deformation microstructure in the γ phase of a TiAl alloy crept at 850 °C under 150 MPa. A never observed population of dislocations is evidenced and characterized. It is shown that their Burgers vector is of [001] type and that they are moving by pure climb in the (001) planes. The reasons of the presence of these dislocations are discussed

Résumé : Purpose: We investigated the cross-sectional associations between macular pigment optical density (MPOD), plasma lutein (L), and zeaxanthin (Z) concentrations and cognitive function in 184 older adults of the 3-City-Bordeaux cohort. Methods: MPOD was measured using the two-wavelength autofluorescence method with a modified scanning laser ophthalmoscope. Plasma L and Z (L+Z) concentrations were determined by high-performance liquid chromatography and were considered either crude or expressed as a ratio of the concentration of plasma lipids (total cholesterol [TC] + triglycerides [TG]). Cognitive performances were assessed using the following four separate neuropsychological tests: the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE), the Isaacs Set Test (IST), the Benton Visual Retention Test (BVRT), and the sum of the three free recalls of the Free and Cued Selective Reminding Test (FCSRT). These test results were summarized by a composite global cognitive z-score. Results: Higher MPOD at 0.5 degrees was significantly associated with a higher composite z-score (beta = 0.15, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.04-0.26), higher BVRT (beta = 0.39, 95%CI 0.08-0.70), and higher IST (beta = 1.16, 95%CI 0.11-2.22) performances. Higher plasma L+Z concentrations were significantly associated with higher IST scores (beta = 0.97, 95%CI 0.01-1.94). Furthermore, a higher L+Z/TC+TG ratio was associated with a higher composite z-score (beta = 0.12, 95%CI 0.01-0.23), along with higher IST (beta = 1.02, 95%CI 0.002-2.04) and FCSRT (beta = 1.55, 95%CI 0.41-2.69) performances. Conclusions: This analysis suggested that both higher MPOD and L+Z concentrations were significantly associated with higher cognitive performances. However, MPOD measurements have the advantage of being a fast and representative measure of long-term carotenoid intake.
